Mamarumo Marokane

Mamarumo Marokane (born c. 1997) is a South African actor known for her appearances in Shadow and MTV Shuga. She was a recurring character (Dineo) in Shuga when the series went into a nightly mini-series to highlight Coronavirus issues. The mini-series is filmed by the actors and the story by Tunde Aladese was based in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Cote D’Ivoire.

Life

Marokane was born in about 1996.[1] She studied at City Varsity School of Media and Creative Arts. She can speak English, Sepedi and Setswana.[2]

Marokane is a South African actor known for her appearances in the Netflix series Shadow[3] and for her role in MTV Shuga where she plays Dineo.[4]

In February 2020 she was identified by South Africa's Cosmpolitan's Pearl Thusi as one of four "rising stars".[1] She was still in MTV Shuga went it went into a nightly mini series titled MTV Shuga Alone Together highlighting the problems of Coronavirus on 20 April 2020. The show will broadcast for 60 nights and its backers include the United Nations.[5] The series will be based in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Cote D’Ivoire and the story will be explained with on-line conversations between the characters. All of the filming will be done by the actors themselves[6] who include Jemima Osunde, Lerato Walaza, Sthandiwe Kgoroge, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, Adebukola Oladipupo and Mohau Cele.
