Marcus Fulton

Marcus Fulton (died August 4, 1892) was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate.

Biography

Fulton was born in Bethel, New York; information differs on the exact date. In 1854, he moved to Hudson, Wisconsin. On April 9, 1863, Fulton married Mercy Augusta Ainsley or Ansley. They had six children before her death in 1876. On April 5, 1877, Fulton married her sister, Adelia Frances. They had a son. Fulton died in Hudson on August 4, 1892.

His brother, David C. Fulton, was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Career

Fulton represented the 28th District in the Senate from 1866 to 1867. In 1878, he would be elected Mayor of Hudson.[1] He also served in the Wisconsin Assembly in 1865 and 1868.[2] Additionally, he was a member of the Board of Education and an alderman.
