Mark Hedges
Jonathan Mark Hedges (born 24 February 1964)[1] is a British journalist and the editor of Country Life, published by TI Media.[2]
Early life
He was born in Redruth in Cornwall. He grew up near Chipping Norton, in the house now lived in by Jeremy Clarkson, on the eastern edge of the Cotswolds. He attended Durham University, where he studied Geology.
Career
Hedges worked at a bloodstock auction house before beginning in journalism with Horse & Hound.[3] He was a frequent horse-rider.
He became the editor of Country Life in 2006.[4] The headquarters of Country Life moved from London to north-east Hampshire. He was recently partly responsible for the idea of Clean for The Queen.
Personal life
He lives in Hampshire with his wife and three children; his wife is Australian. They live in Ellisfield, having previously lived in Privett.
