Marlene Willis

Marlene Willis, born January 13, 1942, was an American actress, born in Harris County, Texas, who appeared mainly as a guest star in various narrative television series in the 1950s and '60s, such as The Andy Griffith Show (in the 12th episode, "Stranger in Town"); Maverick (in the 4th season episode entitled "Flood's Folly" with Roger Moore); Bourbon Street Beat; Wagon Train; Laramie; The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis; The Dick Powell Theatre; and The Loretta Young Show. She also appeared in the theatrical features Rockabilly Baby (1957) and Attack of the Puppet People (1958). Willis sang the theme song in addition to portraying a character in the latter film. She died of cancer at age 40 on March 29, 1982.
