Maryland House of Delegates District 33B

Maryland House of Delegates District 33B is part of the greater 33rd Maryland Senate district, currently represented by Edward Reilly. Located in Anne Arundel County, the district includes the communities of Deale, Lothian, Davidsonville, Millersville, and Southern Anne Arundel County. District 33B has consistently voted Republican and is one of the more conservative districts in the heavily Democratic Maryland. The traditionally rural community that District 33A encompasses is located south of Baltimore and east of Washington, D.C. From 2003 until 2014, the district was also represented by Robert A. Costa (R), who retired and was succeeded in 2015 by real estate investor Sid Saab, the first member of the Maryland General Assembly to have been born in Lebanon.[1][2][3] In 2015 Del. Cathy Vitale, who also represented the district (which had 3 delegates) was appointed a judge, and was succeeded by fellow Republican Michael Malone, who faces a challenge in the 2017 primary.[1]
