MasSpec Pen

The MasSpec Pen is a tool for the detection of cancer. It was developed by a team led by Livia S. Eberlin at the University of Texas Austin.[1][2][3][4] Branded as the precìso MasSpec Pen™, the device enables controlled and automated delivery of a discrete water droplet to a tissue surface for efficient and noninvasive extraction of molecules, which is then delivered to the mass spectrometer for molecular analysis.[5] The MasSpec Pen technology has been exclusively licensed to MS Pen Technologies, Inc. dba Genio Technologies, Inc.[6]
