Millington Municipal Schools

Millington Municipal Schools is an municipal school district that is serving Millington, Tennessee and the "Millington Reserve", in Shelby County, Tennessee, outside the boundary of the Memphis city limits, both within the Greater Memphis area of Tennessee, United States.[1]

This school district was formed in 2014 by the Shelby County Schools district, due to the Shelby County Schools merging with the former Memphis City Schools district in March 2011, (effectively beginning in the 2013-14 school year) a procedure done effectively, since the Memphis schools were failing in the facility under the city school system.[2]
