On 20 June 2018 the Russian Federal Education and Science Supervision Agency (Rosobrnadzor) revoked the accreditation of the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences.[7] The decision was widely criticised.[8] The School noted that, "The withdrawal of accreditation does not mean revoking the license to conduct education", and vowed to continue its work.[9] This sanction may have been unfair.[10] [11] [12] In March 2020, the accreditation of the university was restored.[13]
