Musa Hadid

Musa Hadid (Arabic: موسى حديد; born 1965) is the mayor of Ramallah, Palestine.[1] A Palestinian civil engineer, he has been the mayor of Ramallah, a city of 40,000 people, since 2012.[2]

Hadid studied at Birzeit University, graduating in 1993.[3] He worked as a civil engineer for 20 years before turning to politics.[4]

In 2020, Hadid was the subject of an award-winning[5] film called "Mayor," directed by filmmaker David Osit,[6] which follows Musa Hadid's day-to-day life[7] as mayor.[8] The film has been called a "dark comedy saga.[9]" and "the best new film about the Israeli-Palestine conflict."[10]
