Leaves
large, oblong to lanceolate, pointed ends.
Trunk
Bark - smooth, polished yellow.
Flowers
cream, rather small, 1–3 in axils.
Fruits
broadly ovoid berry, slightly tapering at ends; seeds 2–3.
Ecology
rain forest understory of wet zone.
Culture
Known as "වල් කෝපි - wal kopi" in Sinhala.
