Necronomidol

Necronomidol is a Japanese idol heavy metal group, formed in 2014.[1] They have been on more than two international tours,[2] and are regarded as a prominent force in the alternative idol and kawaii metal movements.[3][4] The group is also known as Necroma amongst fans. Necronomidol is based in Tokyo.

Musical style

Necronomidol's style has been described as fusing J-pop with genres ranging from industrial music[5] to punk rock[6] to dark wave[4] to witch house[7] to shoegazing[8] to, most notably, heavy metal,[5][6][4][9] specifically the style of black metal.[7][10][11][12] Because of this, they have been described as kawaii metal[4] and post-black metal.[13]
