Career
2012
2012 was the debut season for Antonelli. Though Antonelli crashed twice in the year, he showed some consistency and finished 14th with 77 points at the final standing.
2013
With high expectation Antonelli started the 2013 Moto3 season. But the season was full of crashes for him, with a total of 6 crashes and he was degraded to 16th spot in the final standings.
2014
The 2014 was also a crash-filled season for Antonelli, with a total of 6 crashes as of the previous season and 3 no-point finishes and finished 14th in the final standings.
2015
2015 was the comeback year for Antonelli. After taking his first pole position at the 2014 Valencian Grand Prix,[1] Antonelli took his first Moto3 victory at the 2015 Czech Republic Grand Prix. Antonelli – who started the race from pole position – dropped to sixth on the opening lap but worked his way up the order to retake the lead on the penultimate lap, and held on to win ahead of Enea Bastianini and Brad Binder.[2][3] He added a second win later in the season at Motegi.[4] Despite crashing thrice and two no point finishes Antonelli had a total of 4 podiums in 2015 season and finished 5th at the final standings.
2016
For 2016 Antonelli was considered one of the championship contenders after he started the season with a win at the opening race in Qatar. But his crash luck continues, with two crashes, two no-point finishes and one DNS in Germany due to fracture.
