Nicole du Hausset

Nicole du Hausset (1713–1801), was a French courtier. She was the lady's maid of Madame de Pompadour.[1] She played an important role at court as the intermediary between Pompadour and her supplicants. She is known for her memoir of her time at the French court. Her memoirs are famous, but it has been disputed as to whether they were actually written by her or not.
