Plot

A postman rides his creaky bike to the middle of nowhere in the Polish forest. The story begins with an old creepy lady washing blood soaked clothing in a tub full of water and a weathered wash board. As a postman knocks on her window, the sound of piano music drowns the scene.

The house has a basement and by further inspection the postman notices noises coming from below the house. Thinking someone is trapped down there, the postman makes his first mistake when he rips off the wooden board and enters the basement. He is dragged under the basement and is eaten alive by some sort of evil monster.

Thirty years later, a bus carrying the teens drives through the thick Polish forest, disappearing under the thick tree canopy. The camp starts with all the teens arriving and surrendering their phones/electronics to the camp leaders. The teens are placed into groups via a number system. The main protagonists all end up in a group together and head off into the woods with counselor, Iza, for a three day hike.

As they go trekking, Daniel pushed Bartek off a small drop on the trail, causing him to get a small gash on his leg. As the walk into the forest, Julek takes a stop to empty his bladder. As he does so, he accidently urinates on a dead, rotting deer. When he calls everyone over to investigate, Iza notices that the deer was not killed by a predator, but brushes the danger off and orders everyone to keep going into the woods.

They stop by a lake to spend the night. Daniel is accompanied that night at the lake by Aniela and they have sex. Aniela then goes back to her tent, and Daniel is smashed to death by a gigantic man while he is in his sleeping bag. In the morning, everyone searches for Daniel, Iza disregarding the "six rules of horror" that Julek warns the group about, and they split up in groups, with half of them searching for Daniel with the coach, and the rest waiting by the lake in case Daniel comes back.

The group reaches the house, and discover the basement with Daniel’s mangled body inside. They attempt to run but notice the killer coming inside so they hide in the basement. Hearing footsteps approaching, they run to the open space within the basement to escape. Zosia and Julek escape but Iza stays behind to fight the monster in order to try and get Daniels phone to call for help from his pocket. The coach is decapitated, and the two teens flee.

Aniela and Bartek are talking by the lake when Anelia is suddenly killed by a metal bar going through the back of her neck and mouth. Horrified, Bartek runs away and attempts to get help from a priest in a nearby church. The priest knocks him out, gags him, and ties him to a chair. The priest hears noises outside and goes to investigate. He is killed by one of the killers, who puts the priest in a wood chipper. The killer enters the church and opens the confession box to find Bartek hiding.

On the other side, the teens, having ran away from the house, find refuge in an old man’s house, who tells them the story of two twins who lived with their mother happily alongside their dog until one fateful afternoon. In the story, something is seen falling from the sky and the twins take the piece of rock and keep it hidden under their bed at night. During the night, a black fluid is shown to flow from the rock and enters the bodies of the twins making them act like demons.

Their mother awakens in the morning only to be horrified seeing her sons eating their dog in the basement. She locks them up in the basement and hunts animals to keep them hidden. The old man states that the mother lost her mind. One day, while trying to get a dead animal into the basement, she falls inside and is killed by the twins, who then escape.

The teens decide to call for help and go back to the basement to get the phone from Daniel's body. Julek tries to distract the killer with some noise and Zosia sneaks into the basement to grab the phone. However, the killer’s twin is in front of her and Julek heroically stabs the twin. Zosia is knocked unconscious and chained up, while Julek is stabbed with a knife and has his tongue bitten off.

Awakening to find Julek suffering, Zosia stabs him to end his pain. She uses the knife to unchain herself and considers escaping, but takes a machete from the room instead. She goes upstairs, hearing the twin snoring on the bed. Zosia stabs the twin until he appears to be dead.

The old man hears knocking on his door and shoots from his gun, thinking it might be the twins, but discovers Bartek, who is killed from the shotgun blast. A policeman drops a prostitute off in the forest and is approached for help by Zosia noticing her distress, they drive away. On their way, the police van runs over one of the twins, who is playing dead and the policeman sees the killer lying in the middle of the road. Wanting to help and disregarding Zosia’s warning, the officer is killed when he fails to pull his pistol from his holster.

Zosia is locked in the car in the back but breaks the window. She attempts to drive away in the car, after shifting the stick and clutch, is successful after she drives numerous times over the killer and happily drives away.

Two men celebrating Hitler are shown to be drunk and walking in the woods at night when they encounter the body of the killer on the road. Shortly after, the killer’s twin wakes up in his bed, having survived the stabbing, and stares at the police lights outside his house. They live happily ever after.
