Noksen (Vidhan Sabha constituency)
Noksen (Assembly Constituency) is an assembly constituency in the Indian state of Nagaland.[1][2] Nosken is in Tuensang district. Noksen is the first assembly seat in India, where Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) system was first used with EVMs in a by-poll in September 2013.[3][4] In October 2013, Supreme Court of India gave a landmark judgement directing Election Commission of India to use VVPAT system for vote validation in phased manner in all subsequent elections in India.[5][6][7][8] Noksen is a reserved constituency for Scheduled Tribe.[9][10]
