He came through the youth ranks of local club Lyngstad og Omegn, and also played senior football for them on the sixth tier before joining Molde FK's junior team ahead of the 1993 season.[1] He made his league debut for Molde in September 1995 against Hødd. Playing several games in the autumn of 1995, including two in the 1995-96 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, he played none in 1996.[2][3] He was loaned out to Fyllingen in the autumn of 1996 and Harstad IL in the 1997 season.[4][5] Dropped by Molde, he followed up with two seasons in Hødd and three and half in Skarbøvik IF.[2] In the summer of 2003 he moved home to Eide og Omegn FK.[6] He remained here until 2007,[2] except for the autumn of 2004 when he was on loan at Kristiansund BK.[7]
