Gameplay

Old World is an historical turn-based strategy strategy game set in the ancient and classical eras with gameplay comparable to other 4X games such as the Civilization series while also incorporating dynasty simulation and narrative elements reminiscent of the Crusader Kings series.[1][2][3][4]

Development

Old World is the second game developed by American[5] studio Mohawk Games (first being Offworld Trading Company), which was founded in 2013 and led by Soren Johnson who had previously served as the lead designer for Civilization IV.[1][2][3][4] On April 28, 2020 Mohawk Games announced the game would be released on Early Access on May 5, 2020 via the Epic Games Store.[6]
