Operation Goshen
Operation Goshen began in 1948, and continued until 1953,[1] conducted by the Mossad Le'aliyah Bet due to increasing antisemitism in Egypt and a sense of uncertainty among the Jews in Egypt. The operation succeeded in smuggling more than 10,000 Jews into Israel.[1]
Many similar operations were conducted in various countries by the Mossad Le'aliyah Bet in the wake of Israeli independence in 1948.
