Oriflame Holding AG is a Multi-level marketing company that sells primarily beauty and personal care products.[1] Oriflame are operating within the Direct selling industry and was founded 1967 in Sweden by the brothers Jonas af Jochnick, Robert af Jochnick and Bengt Hellsten. The head office of Oriflame is located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland with a registered office in Stockholm, Sweden. Oriflame Holding AG was traded on the Nasdaq Stockholm Exchange until being delisted on 17 July 2019.[2]

Operations

The company has approximately 6,000 employees, 1,000 products in the range and a turnover of over 1.3 billion Euro. Oriflame operates in more than 60 countries, where its beauty products are marketed by over 3 million Oriflame Brand Partners.[3] Marketing and sales are done online, during 2019 96% of the company’s global orders are placed online, of which 55% from mobile devices.[4] Marketing and order placement also take place through catalogues that are published approximately: 17 times per year, where the last two catalogues 16 and 17 are extra thick Christmas catalogues. Catalogue production is divided into 5 different regions; Africa, Asia, Central and Latin America, Eastern Europe and Western Europe, each of which publishes a unique locally market-adapted catalogue to each region.

Cooperation with higher education institutions and universities

The company is one of the members, called Partners, in the Stockholm School of Economics partner program for companies that contribute financially to the university and work closely with it in terms of research and education.

Oriflame Foundation

Oriflame Holding AG supports NGOs and various global charity organisations. These include the World Childhood Foundation, founded by H.M. Queen Silvia of Sweden and co-founded by Oriflame and the Af Jochnick Foundation.[5] The Oriflame Foundation provides grants to projects that have been selected or initiated by local market teams.
