Oscar Sjöstedt

Per Oscar Evert Sjöstedt (born February 6, 1981) is a Swedish politician and former member of the Riksdag for the Sweden Democrats party.

Biography

Sjöstedt studied at Stockholm University and graduated with a BA in economics. He worked for Sveriges Television (SVT).[1][2][3] He also served as chairman of the Sweden Democrat Youth's (SDU) chapter in Stockholm.[4] Sjöstedt was elected to the Riksdag during the 2014 Swedish general election and served as the financial spokesman for the Sweden Democrats.[1][2] Sjöstedt became embroiled in controversy in 2016 when it was revealed he had attended a meeting with the Swedish neo-Nazi magazine Info-14 during his time as chairman of the SDU's Stockholm branch.[5][6] He decided not to seek another term in office before the 2018 Swedish general election.
