Pablo Sánchez Ibáñez

Pablo Augusto Sánchez Ibáñez (25 January 1930 in Seville, Spain - 15 May 1987[1]) was a Spanish international football referee.[2]

Career

He officiated nine international matches and was a member of FIFA from 1970 to 77. He attributed a group match in 1974 World Cup played between Argentina-Haiti (4:1), a match in 1974 World Cup qualifying, two matches in EURO 1976 qualifying[3] and others were in friendly matches.

In club football he officiated some UEFA competition matches such as Champions League (5), UEFA Cup (5) and Cup Winners Cup (5).[4] He officiated 1989 UEFA Cup Final 2nd leg played between VfB Stuttgart and Napoli (3:3). He refereed 109 La Liga matches in 1965–77.
