Paenarthrobacter ilicis

Paenarthrobacter ilicis, its old name is Arthrobacter ilicis, is a bacterium species from the genus of Paenarthrobacter. Before the year 2016, this bacterium species was said to be a species of Arthrobacter genus. The bacterium species is reclassified in 2016 to be a member of Paenarthrobacter. Therefore it had a new name as Paenarthrobacter ilicis.[2]

This species can use L-arginine, L-asparagine, L-histidine, L-arabinose, D-galactose, D-glucose, D-ribose, Dxylose, inositol, 4-aminobutyrate and p-hydroxybenzoate as a carbon source as it is not able to utilize L-leucine, butanediol and malonate.[3]
