Pankaj Nath

Pankaj Nath (born 25 September 1966)[1] is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Barisal-4 constituency.[2]

Career

Nath was elected to the parliament from Barisal-4 in 2014 as a candidate of Bangladesh Awami League.[3] Mr. Pankaj Nath was born in 1966. He is the proud child of a freedom fighter. He was elected as a Member of Parliament as the nominated candidate of Bangladesh Awami League in the 10th National Parliament held in 2014 and in the 11th National Parliament held in 2016. He has been a member of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Culture in the 10th Parliament and a member of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment in the 11th Parliament. He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Dhaka University. He was involved in the politics of Bangladesh Awami League from his student life. He was a courageous voice against dictatorship, terrorism and sectarianism. He owns Bihanga Paribahan, a bus transport company, which was founded in 2009.[4] He is the founder General Secretary of Awami Swechchhashebok League.[5]
