Paradigm Shift: New York City's Feminist Community

Paradigm Shift: New York City's Feminist Community is non-profit feminist organization based in New York City, United States, founded in March 2007 by Meredith Villano and Lisa A. Snyder.

Structure

The organization has a membership of over 1,700, and has partnerships with progressive organizations and media outlets such as the New York Civil Liberties Union, National Organization for Women, New York Abortion Access Fund and the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault.

Activities

Paradigm Shift hosts monthly feminist lectures and discussion groups, workshops, screenings, open mics and concerts. In June 2009, the group launched online TV channel Paradigm Shift TV, and a blog. Paradigm Shift was a sponsor of Alycia Kaback's NYC Women's Empowerment Summit.[1]

The organization has received coverage in Time Out New York.[2]
