Paul Roach (surfer)
Paul Roach is an American bodyboard rider who is considered to be a pioneer of the dropknee style of bodyboarding.[1]

Paul Roach is credited with inventing the layback manoeuvre in the dropknee style; this manoeuvre was later introduced to stand-up surfing.[1] The layback involves the upper body of the surfer being arched backwards.
Roach currently resides in California, and is primarily endorsed by Cartel bodyboards.[2] He has two signature bodyboard models: Paul Roach LTD[3] and the Paul Roach DK.[4]
