People's Party of South Ossetia
The People's Party of South Ossetia (Russian: Народная партия Южная Осетия, Georgian: ხალხის პარტიის სამხრეთ ოსეთის) is a social liberal political party in South Ossetia, a partially recognized Caucasian republic, considered by most countries to be a part of Georgia. In the 2009 elections, the party hold 9 of the 34 seats in the Parliament of South Ossetia. The party is led by Roland Lvovich Kelekhsayev. Despite its ideology, the party is associated with the far-right Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus.
