Phil Lyman

Phil Lyman is an American politician from Utah who currently represents district 73 (Blanding) in the Utah House of Representatives.[1] By profession he is a Certified Public Accountant. He comes from a Mormon ranching family that settled in Blanding, Utah in 1905.[2]

As a San Juan County Commissioner, in 2014 Lyman led a protest ride of about 50 ATVs through Recapture Canyon, the site of native American cliff dwellings, which was closed to motor vehicles. He was convicted of misdemeanor trespassing, for which he served ten days in jail and paid restitution of $96,000. On December 22, 2020 Lyman was pardoned by President Donald Trump.[3]
