Phillip Barker (film director)
Phillip Barker is a Canadian production designer, and filmmaker. He received a Directors Guild of Canada Award for Outstanding Achievement in Production Design for Atom Egoyan's Where the Truth Lies.

He has been the production designer for films by directors such as Brian De Palma, Mira Nair, Atom Egoyan (ten feature films and two operas), Lisa Cholodenko and Neil LaBute.
His own films have been widely shown internationally and have won numerous awards. In 2019 a tour of a retrospective of Phillip's films: Strange Machines, The Films of Phillip Barker, and a book of the same name, (by Mike Hoolboom) was presented by Montreal's Festival Nouveau Cinema, TIFF Lightbox, Toronto, and The Canadian Film Institute, Ottawa. Also In 2019 The Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, France hosted the retrospective and an art exhibition of artists inspired by Phillip's films.
At the 2017 Vancouver International Film Festival, Barker's film Shadow Nettes won the award for Best Canadian Short Film.[1]
