It has been functioning proactively to provide the best professional environment to engineering and management students in terms of academics, industry oriented trainings, sports, co-curricular & extracurricular activities, cultural activities, various competitions, etc to create true aesthetically sensitive, socially committed and technologically competent engineers and management professionals.

Departments

The Undergraduate academic programs offered in PCCOE are Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering along with post graduate courses in Mechanical Heat Power and Design, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering (VLSI), Information Technology and Civil Engineering (Construction Management). The Management Programs MCA and MBA are also offered for students after graduation.

Technical Events

To provide platform for budding engineers to showcase their technical abilities and knowledge PCCOE organize inter collegiate events "TECHLLIGENT" and "SPECTRUM". SPECTRUM is a unique event in SPPU of First Year Engineering Students. TECHLLIGENT consists of events and competitions related to models, projects, papers, demonstrations and coding. Students of PCCOE have active participation in international level competitions like "ROBOCON", 'SAE BAJA' and 'Supra', ACM ICPC and Smart India Hackathon (SIH). Event called "ZEST" is organized by the Department of MBA.

Entrepreneurship cell

In 2010, a few students initiated the functioning of an active Entrepreneurship Development Cell to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem on the campus. The cell has been named as KANISHK and has organized multiple events and workshops regarding Leadership, Team Management as well as Business Start-ups. Under the guidance of T&P department the team including Kunal Chadda,Tejas Nandedkar, Sneha Shinde started very well received event called Business Baazigar which established the NEN cell brand. The Entrepreneurship Week conducted between 13 and 18 February 2012 was the most successful event in the cell's history so far. The key members of the E-Week 2012's team include Aishwarya Chandrasekaran, Dipin Nair, Sneha Nakil under the leadership of Anikait Chavan and Ansh Bahri who have always played a vital role in shaping the cell being one of the founding members. Apart from the academics, institute also believes in creating leaders for the nation and thus PCCOE has always encouraged KANISHK and their leaders to discover new ways of spreading awareness about entrepreneurship.

ABU Robocon, SAE BAJA and SAE SUPRA

PCCOE has been participating in ABU Robocon India since 2011. This has proved to be a real trigger to the robotics activities in PCCOE campus where the official name of the ROBOCON team is 'TEAM AUTOMATONS'.They recently scored 2nd in the MathWorks Modelling Award at the National DD-Robocon 2019, New Delhi.[5]

PCCOE has been participating in SAE BAJA from 2012 where the official name is 'TEAM RED BARON' and their vehicle's name is Albatros. In 2014, 'TEAM RED BARON' bagged Best Design award and in 2016 they bagged Runner-up award for Best innovation.

PCCOE has participated in SAE SUPRA in 2015 where the official name is 'TEAM KRATOS RACING' and their vehicle's name in Fireblade. After brake test failure in SAE SUPRA 2015, in the very next year 2016, after an exciting last-lap duel, 'TEAM KRATOS RACING' secured the top stride of the platform at the fifth edition of the SUPRA SAEINDIA (2016) Formula Student title at the Buddh International Circuit. Additionally, they also bagged five other awards- namely 1st in Endurance, 1st in Skidpad, 1st in Autocross, Best Fuel Economy and Dronacharya award for their faculty adviser.

These competitions ensure that the students do not limit themselves to just theoretical knowledge and are exposed to handle practical and management based issues as well.
