Piotr Werner

Piotr Werner (born 6 June 1949 in Katowice, Poland) was a Polish international football referee[1] and boxing prompter in Poland.[2]

Career

He officiated 9 international matches and was member of FIFA in 1988–1995. He attributed three matches in World Cup qualification 1990 (2) and 1994 (1), a match in EURO 1996 qualifying[3] and others were in friendly matches.

In club football he officiated some UEFA competition matches such as Champions League (1), UEFA Cup and qualification (3+1).[4] He refereed some Ekstraklasa matches in 1995–1996 and 8 matches in the Japan football league in 1996.

Personal life

After his refereeing career, sincen 1999 he has run the Bullit KnockOut Promotion company which is the largest boxing group in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe that organize boxing matches such as Klitschko-Adamek.[5][6] He was also partner of AGENCJA SPORTOWA WERSPORT.[7]
