Point Appleby

Point Appleby (67°25′S 59°36′E) is a point on the western side of an unnamed island lying 0.8 nautical miles (1.5 km) south of Warren Island in William Scoresby Bay. Discovered, charted and named by DI personnel on the William Scoresby in February 1936, as a point on the eastern shore of the bay. Later mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, as a point on an island near the eastern side of the bay.
