Filmography
Standing Firm (2010)
Filming for Standing Firm began on June 2008 and continued to November 2009. Production took place in Lewiston, NY the majority of the time with other pieces filmed in Sanborn, NY and Youngstown, NY. The film was shot on a very low-budget using members of Niagara Frontier Bible Church for cast and crew besides one from Houghton, NY. Homes of church members were also used as the sets, with very little production design done and most homes shot "as is."[2] Most days of the production had only two crew members with actors helping carry equipment and various other things.[3] The film was scored by Jurgen Beck, an upcoming composer in the Christian market.[4]
The film was released on DVD nationwide August 24, 2010 and has recently been released in countries like South Africa, Australia, Canada, Brazil, The Philippines, and New Zealand. Initial reviews of the film were very positive getting 4/5 Doves from The Dove Foundation[5] and praise from other Christian organizations like The American Family Association,[6] Moody Radio, and various other websites and magazines. The DVD went on to sell far better than projected and continues to hold sales across all popular Christian retailers. As of August 2011, the film has amassed over 250,000 fans on Facebook and continues to climb almost 5000 a month.
