Prem Kumar: Salesman of the Year

Prem Kumar: Salesman of the year is a 2018 Action Masala Odia language film directed by Tapas Sargharia and produced under banner Tarang Cine Productions.[1][2] The movie stars Anubhav Mohanty, Tamanna Vyas and Shivani in lead roles.[3][4] The movie is a remake of 2016 Punjabi movie Ambarsariya.

Plot

Kumar aka Prem Kumar is a Policy agent in a Insurance company in which he become a successful agent after making 50 policies at a time in a day.

The story then switches to RAW headquarters where Prem is entering as an officer. It is revealed that Prem is a secret agent in RAW disguised as a Insurance agent. He was assigned to decode a phone call from which he get to know that The defense minister life is at risk and some person named SAROJ is to kill him in Bhubaneswar. He sets out to Bhubaneswar to trace the person and traced three persons linked to it namely Saroj Das, An event Manager—Saroj, A dance teacher & Saroj Khan, a very intelligent lady ambitious for filming. He started to spy on them .

Meanwhile he take a rent house at Simran's house and eventually falls in love with her.

During his investigation he come to know that all the persons he has suspected are clear and has no relation with terrorism. In this chaos Simran think he has deceived her and ask him to leave. Prem also for his duty towards nation did not tell her his real identity and leaves.

Now Prem is more tensed as he has to track down the real culprit and came in contact with one of henchmen of the attacker group who tried to kill him and get to know that there is no change in plan and Saroj is going to kill the minister.

He tried to pass the information to Simran by calling her to which she didn't respond. He called Saroj Das and passed the information to Simran and told her to say it only to Minister or his secretary.

When Simran said this to his secretary he taken him away from the auditorium and locked her in a room. It It is then revealed that the secretary of Minister is Mastermind of it. Meanwhile Prem reached the hall and also kidnapped by the secretary. After a intense fight the secretary's henchmen he saved Simran and heads towards to save minister. Saroj Khan watching all this from control room come to help Prem and take care of Simran.

Prem comes to know that Bablu, Simran's brother is actually saroj kumar is going to kill the minister in a act of Bhagat Singh. Prem reaches in time and made saroj realize that the real General Diare and fired the secretary.

Prem returns from his mission to take care of Simran and promised her not to take any further missions. At that mean time, He received a call that the real culprit who is above secretary has traced in Abudhabi and he has to go there. On Simran's asking of purpose of going to Abudhabi he said he want to have Honeymoon there and film ends.

Production

During the shooting actor Anubhav Mohanty was injured on the set, so shooting of the film got delayed. The film was supposed to be released during Raja festival but it was released during Durga puja. Songs of the movie were shot in Kashmir.[7][8] Initially the film was believed to be inspired by Rocket singh. During the audio release lead actor Anubhav Mohanty confirmed it was not a remake and not inspired by any movie,[9] however the story has similarities to Ambarsariya a Punjabi movie.

Release

Previously it was finalised to be released on the day of Raja Festival. But due to some development of the film It was released on 16 October 2018 during Durga Puja in theatres all over Odisha.[10][11]
