Priah Ferguson

Priah Nicole Ferguson (born October 1, 2006)[1] is an American actress from Atlanta, Georgia. She is known for her role as Erica Sinclair on the Netflix series Stranger Things.[2]

Early life

Priah was born in Atlanta, Georgia,[3] on October 1, 2006, to John, a design director, and Adjua Ferguson, a graphic designer.[4][5] She has one younger sister named Jayda who has an interest in art.[6][7]

Career

Priah Ferguson was motivated to start acting after watching the films Crooklyn and Daddy's Little Girls.[8] She got her start in 2015 acting in short and independent films. [9][10] In 2016, she made her television debut on the FX Networks show Atlanta created by Donald Glover and the Civil War drama Mercy Street. In 2017, Ferguson was cast in the Netflix science fiction horror web television series Stranger Things in a guest role as Erica Sinclair, the younger sister of Lucas Sinclair, portrayed by Caleb McLaughlin.[11] She was promoted to a recurring role for season 3.[12][13] In 2018, she starred in The Oath.[14] Ferguson guest starred on the NBC show Bluff City Law with Jimmy Smits in 2019.[15]

Philanthropy

In 2015, Ferguson partnered with United Way in an effort to bring attention to child well-being.[16]
