Private Corner is a jazz album by Jacky Cheung, which was released on 29 January 2010.[1]

Private corner is also the first jazz album of Cantopop.[2] Chinese music critics expected[3] that this album would make jazz a popular genre in Greater China.[4][5]

Cheng's Private Corner was also made available as a special vinyl edition.  A collector's limited edition crystal CD manufactured in Japan was available  on the internet for pre-order at HKD 15000.[6]

Cheung has recorded and the album went platinum in less than a week.[7] The album was recorded at the same time he was also filming Crossing Hennessy; "Lucky in Love" appears as the end-credit song of the film. An English version of the song was later re-recorded by Filipino singer Paolo Onesa for his debut album, Pop Goes Standards, which was released on February 14, 2014.[8]

The album is mastered by Bernie Grundman.

Private Corner press conference

Jacky Cheung and Universal Music held a press conference for the release of Jacky Cheung's Private Corner album at the Shangri-la Hotel on January 28, 2010. Universal Music paid HKD 3 million for the press conference.

Over 100 reporters from Hong Kong and Asia media outlets attended.  Top management Yip Jia Bao, ATV, Wu Rong Xing, i-Cable, and Virginia Lok, TVB attended. [9][10]

Private Corner Mini Concert

Jacky Cheung Mini Concert was held at the Polytechnic University Hong Kong Jockey Club Auditorium. Cheung performed songs from his Private Corner album as well as several standards.[11][12]
