Priyanka Garkhede

Priyanka Garkhede (born 13 August 1993) is a cricketer who plays for Maharashtra Cricket. So far she has played 88 One-day and 55 Twenty20 domestic matches in Women's cricket with 250+ wickets. She also played first-class cricket for West Zone. She currently plays for Maharashtra Cricket Association. She is a right-arm medium-pace bowler and All-rounder for Maharashtra.[1]

Early life and background

Priyanka born in Aurangabad in Maharashtra. Her mother tongue is Marathi. She started playing cricket at the age of 4 and was picked for the Maharashtra team at the age of 12. Her brother played a key role in shaping her cricket career since it was difficult for her as a girl to start playing men dominated game and consider cricket as a career. So far she has played more that 120 Domestic matches for the Maharashtra Cricket Association & West Zone team under the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
