Properigea mephisto
Properigea mephisto is a species of cutworm or dart moth in the family Noctuidae.[1][2][3][4] It is found in North America,[2] where it has been recorded from Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ontario and Wisconsin.

The wingspan is 26–28 mm. The forewings are cream, sprinkled with reddish and brown scales. The hindwings are whitish, becoming progressively fuscous distally, and with dirty white fringes.[5]
