Prosper Cravath

Prosper Cravath, Jr. (May 28, 1809 – May 20, 1886) was an American farmer and lawyer from Whitewater, Wisconsin who held various public offices, including being a member of the 1st Wisconsin Legislature from Walworth County.[1]

Background

Cravath was born in Cortland, New York on May 28, 1809, the eldest son of Prosper Cravath (known as "Deacon Cravath") and Miriam Kinney, who would have a total of sixteen children.
