Ram Ki Janmabhoomi

Ram Ki Janmabhoomi[1] (transl.Rama's birthplace) is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Sanoj Mishra. The film is produced and written by Syed Waseem Rizvi and stars Manoj Joshi and Govind Namdev.[2] The movie deals with the controversial issue of Ram Mandir (see Ayodhya dispute and Demolition of Babri Masjid ) and Halala.[3] The film was theatrically released on 29 March 2019.[4]

Reception

Following the release of the trailer, Rizvi received a threatening telephone call from Abdul Menon demanding a halt to the film's release.[6] A subsequent Bombay high court ruling restrained Rizvi from releasing the film without authorization from the Central Board of Film Certification.[7]
