Controversy

Japan Needs Heroes, the company's Kickstarter crowd-funded anthology project designed to benefit "victims of Japan's tragedies", was fully funded in May 2011, and Japan Needs Heroes II, the company's second such project was fully funded in 2013. Neither had been delivered as of January 2014.[39] The company said both projects had gone to the printer as of December 30, 2014 and that digital downloads would be sent to the Kickstarter backers in January 2015.[40][41] As of at least February 2015, printed hardcover and paperback books had not been mailed to Kickstarter backers.[42] At San Diego Comic-Con International in 2015, Stan Lee and Red Giant's David Campiti showed the printed copies of Japan Needs Heroes.[43]
