Richard M. Eaton

Richard Maxwell Eaton (born 1940) is an American historian, currently working as a professor of history at the University of Arizona.[1] He is known for having written the notable books on Indian history before 1800. He is also creditd to his work on the social roles of Sufis, slavery, and cultural history of pre-modern Indian.[2] His research has mainly concentrated on the Deccan, Bengal Frontier, Islam in India and, most importantly India in the Persianate Age: 1000-1765 book was the one that involves around new history of India from the middle ages to the arrival of the British.[3][4][5]
