Rick Parfitt Jr.

Richard Parfitt (born 18 October 1974), also known as Rick Parfitt Jr, is a British Sports Car driver and, musician and corporate event agency owner.

Career

Parfitt began racing in 1996, competing in UK national and international karting championships until 2004. In 2010 he returned to the cockpit, taking part and winning the Silverstone Classic ‘Celebrity Race’,[1][2] before competing in the British GT5 Championship in 2011 and 2012.[3]

He stepped up to the British GT4 Championship with Optimum Motorsport and competed in the series until 2015 when he made the move into British GT3, in which he was crowned PRO/AM Champion with Bentley Team Parker in 2017.[4][5]

Despite having announced that he would step back from racing at the end of 2018,[6] he and his teammate Seb Morris returned to race in the 2019 season of the British GT3 Championship, racing a Bentley Continental.[7][8]

Personal life

He is the son of Status Quo musician Rick Parfitt.

He is a sufferer of Crohn’s disease, and has been an advocate for raising awareness of the condition. He is an ambassador for Crohn's and Colitis UK.[9]

He is the director of corporate event agency R&R Agency Ltd.
