Rinu

Rinu (Japanese: 莉犬, romanized: Riinu 24 May 1998 – ), also known as Riinu, is a Japanese male singer. He is a member of the six-person Japanese group Strawberry Prince. He is from Tokyo.

Overview

Rinu's associated color is red, and he is officially paired with Root. The two of them alongside Colon form Strawberry Prince's "Children's Group."

In addition to group activities, he also posts covers, original songs and animated skits, and does live broadcasts on video distribution sites. These animated skits involve him doing various voices for that of his persona’s brother Riken-kun (Japanese: りけんくん) and their friends Rineko-kun (Japanese: りねこくん) and Riiko-chan (Japanese: りいこちゃん). Most of these videos have more than one million views, and his YouTube channel currently has over one million subscribers.

On 11 December 2019, he released his first full album, Time Capsule (Japanese: タイムカプセル), which included songs he had written the lyrics to. It placed second in Oricon's weekly album ranking,[1] and first in its daily ranking.[2]

His name is Rinu, but on YouTube, TikTok and NicoNico he goes by Rinu-kun (Japanese: 莉犬くん). He also works as a voice actor under the name Koinu (Japanese: こいぬ).[3]

He is a transgender man, and has said on his Twitter that he suffers from gender dysphoria.[4]
