Rocco Reed
Joshua Luke Broome (born July 26, 1982), known professionally as Rocco Reed[1] is an American former straight and gay pornographic actor, model, and director.[2][4] In 2012, he received the XBIZ Award for Male Performer of the Year.[5]

Early life
Reed was born in Columbia, South Carolina.[2] He is of Italian and Greek descent.[1]
Reed attended the University of South Carolina, where he played college basketball.[2] He holds a degree in psychology.[2] He also studied theatre in college.[2][3]
Career
2006–2014: Pornographic career as Rocco Reed
Reed was working as a print and runway model when he moved to Los Angeles to continue modeling and pursue a mainstream acting career.[2] He shot for Playgirl a couple of times before entering the adult film industry in October 2006.[3]
Reed began directing for Penthouse in January 2011.[3] He made his directorial debut with a film titled 10 Things I Hate About Valentine’s Day, a romantic comedy based on the mainstream film Valentine's Day.[2] According to the Internet Adult Film Database, he was the industry's busiest male performer in 2011 with appearances in 133 new films that year.[6]
After signing a six-month exclusive performing contract with Men.com, Reed performed his first gay sex scene, with Tommy Defendi, on June 28, 2012.[7] In May 2013, he announced his retirement from adult films.[4]
He performed in about 950 videos in his pornographic career.[1]
2014–present: Current work
As of February 2020, Broome uploads personal videos to his YouTube channel. The topics generally centers around his time as a porn star and Christianity.[8]
Personal life
Reed was once engaged to pornographic actress Asa Akira.[9] Although he has performed in gay pornography, he has stated that he is not gay.[4]
Reed now goes by his real name Joshua Broome, and is a "crusader for Jesus." In an interview on a Christian podcast, he spoke about his pornographic career, telling listeners that he tried to go back to straight porn, after acting in gay movies, but the industry did not allow it. He then decided to pursue a religious path.[10]
He is married to Hope, with whom he has two children.[11]
