Romana Troicka

Romana Troicka-Sosinska (born August 1949) is a Polish former long track speed skater, who was active in the 1960s and 1970s.[1]

Troicka represented her nation three times at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships for Women. In 1969 (finishing 26th overall), in 1971 (finishing 22nd overall) and in 1972 (finishing 24th overall).[2] She also competed at other international competitions.[2] Also she participated twice at the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1971 (finishing 18th overall)[3] and in 1972 (finishing 21st overall).[4] Furthermore, she competed at the European Championships in 1970, 1971[5][6] and 1972.[7]

Between 1967 and 1974 she competed eight times at the Polish Allround Championships and became national champion in 1970 and 1972. She won the silver medal in 1971 and the bronze medal in 1970 and 1973.[2]

After her speed skating career, she stayed connected with skating and continued speed skating. She participated as a master at the World Championships Masters in 1997. She was part of the Polish organizing committee of the 2011 World Short Track Speed Skating Team Championships.[8]
