Ruthvenia

Ruthvenia is a genus of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Charopidae.[1] These snails are restricted to South India and Sri Lanka.[2]

Six species are recognized.[3]

Description

Shell is trochoid to lentiform with compressed structure. Shell color varies from light-comeous to colorless. There are 1 or 2 cord-like keels on last whirl. Aperture narrow with slightly oblique shape. Umbilicus funnel-like and broad.[4]
