Sagkeeng's Finest

Sagkeeng's Finest are an Indigenous Canadian dance troupe, who won the only season of Canada's Got Talent in 2012.[1] The trio consists of Dallas Courchene, Brandon Courchene and Vince O'Laney, three teenagers from the Sagkeeng First Nation in Manitoba,[2] who perform a blend of traditional Métis jigging with contemporary dance.[1]

In their winning performance, the trio danced to a medley of Raghav's "Fire" and Metro Station's "Shake It".[3]

In June 2013, 2 of the members were busted by the RCMP for speeding. When the police searched the car, they found 15 grams of Marijuana. The police also found brass knuckles. O’Laney was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited Weapon, while Brandon Courchene was charged with possession of a controlled substance. [4] They later apologized to fans in an Facebook post. [5]
