Fishing

The original public ramp hosts a weekly bass tournament. The lake is also stocked. A neon green rattle trap has been successful as well as the traditional worm. Reeling fast tends to be more fruitful as the lake has a high average temperature of around 80 degrees in the summer. A depth of around eight feet seems to be where the majority of the bass are caught. There are also huge catfish in there.

On a shallow boat, a ride up the river is beautiful and peaceful. There are steep faces surrounding the main body of the lake. The depth is forty feet at the dam.
