Samaná hutia
The Samaná hutia (Plagiodontia ipnaeum) is an extinct species of rodent in the family Capromyidae. It was endemic to Hispaniola (the Dominican Republic and Haiti). Its natural habitat was subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
