Sandro Salsano
Sandro Salsano (born 25 September 1979) is an Italian billionaire entrepreneur, businessman and investor.[1][2] He is the chairman of Salsano Family Office and president of Salsano Group,[3] a conglomerate with investments in private equity, real estate and technology.[4][5][6] In 2019, Forbes Mexico ranked him as the 6th richest person in Central America, with the combined assets of him/Grupo Salsano worth US$1.3 billion.[7][8][9]

Education
Sandro Salsano was born in Lecco, Italy in 1979. His mother was a teacher. He grew up playing basketball. He was captain of the national basketball team in Italy.[1] Salsano graduated from Bocconi University, with an MBA program from the University of San Diego, California. He also attended courses at Harvard Business School, Oxford University and Princeton University.[10][11]
Board memberships
Salsano sits on the board of various companies as a shareholder and advisor. He is on the steering committee of 1640society. Salsano is a member of The Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle and a member of the Young presidents' Organization.[12]
In April 2019, he was called the Warren Buffett of Central America by Forbes Mexico.[13]

Salsano was included in the World Economic Forum's 2014 list of Young Global Leaders.[14][15][16]
Philanthropy
Sandro currently serves as the chairman for Panama of Global Dignity, a non-profit organization formed by YGL H.H. Haakon, Crown Prince of Norway. He is a fellow at the Aspen Institute and part of the academy of the Global Teacher Prize, founded by the Varkey Foundation.[17] He has donated to groups including the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF), Amfar, Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, Olga Sinclair Foundation, Prostate Cancer Foundation. He set up the Salsano Shahani Foundation with his wife Johanna to improve children's education in Central and Latin America.[18][6]
Personal life
In March 2014, he married Johanna Shahani in Panama City, Panama.[19]
